Quando cambiano il pelo i gatti però può capitare spesso (sia nel caso del gatto a pelo lungo, che a pelo corto) che alcuni grumi di pelo (detti boli) rimangano nello stomaco, provocando rigurgito, conati, stitichezza, tosse secca nel gatto, che non riesce sempre a vomitare.
In questi casi i versi dei gatti trasmettono il disagio che il nostro piccolo amico sta provando. Insomma, il problema non è da sottovalutare!

1. La stitichezza nel gatto può essere causata dal bolo di pelo. Il bolo, infatti, ingerito durante la pulizia può causare occlusione intestinale nel gatto, o blocco intestinale. Un tappo, insomma.

2. Il gatto ha la tosse: quante volte capita che il nostro gatto improvvisamente sia preso da un attacco di tosse? Le ragioni possono essere molte e una di queste è proprio il bolo di pelo.

3. Anche il rigurgito può essere un segnale e spesso i conati sono senza vomito, dunque ci troviamo di fronte a un gatto che tossisce, ma non vomita.

Posologia: una striscia di pasta lunga 3 cm è sufficiente per un gatto di peso medio (3 kg) e va somministrata inizialmente una volta al giorno per 2-3 gg, in seguito 2 volte la settimana. Il dosaggio dovrà essere ridotto o aumentato a seconda della taglia del gatto.
